Whether you're celebrating Valentine's Day or Galentine's Day, there's never a better occasion for getting your glow going! Let February 14th be a day of celebration to us, our independence, strength and beauty.
Below are my top 5 favorite products for glowing skin:
1. Glossier Super Glow Serum - $28
This product is an amazing steal for only $28! This product promotes the "lit within" look, which makes sense given it's super packed Vitamin C formula. You only need a couple of drops each day, and over time you will begin to notice a brighter, more even skin tone and glow. This fast absorbing Vitamin C serum is a must! Where to buy? 2. Great Lakes Collagen Powder - $23
There are many collagen powders on the market right now, (with varying quality levels). This collagen powder is sold at my Naturopathic Doctor's office, only uses the best and cleanest ingredients, (grass fed, gluten free) and is a steal at only $23. I've been using this product daily for about a month, and can attest that my hair is stronger, and my skin appears more elastic and supple.
Collagen is the protein in our bodies that gives us hair strength, keeps our joints moving, and maintains our skins elasticity (aka - no wrinkles!), it makes up actually 70% of our skin. Where to buy? Amazon
3. Beautycounter Charcoal Cleansing Bar - $24
This product is going to give you your brightening. I notice immediate brightness and clarity after I use this product. I recommend using this in the morning, so you start your day with a glow. Also, skincare cleansing bars are a top new trend in skincare that I'm starting to notice pop-up everywhere stores!
The charcoal detoxifies and absorbs the impurities in your skin, and is full of goodness (antioxidants - organic green tea, organic coconut oil). This is a Beautycounter community fave! Where to buy? Beautycounter
One of my favorite ways to maintain skin tone and brightness is to use a daily rosewater toner. Not only does it work, it feels (and smells!) luxurious! This toner also helps defend your skin against increased dryness (perfect for the winter), and is soothing and also refreshing! This product uses pure roseoil. Where to buy? Amazon
5. NOW Rosehip Oil - $9
Flashback to my last post, where I featured this rosehip oil, but I truly believe it is a staple product that everyone should have in their beauty routine. Also, for Valentine's, the more rose, the better!
I use this rosehip oil as my first step, after cleansing, in the morning. It does take some time to absorb and soak in, and is on the denser side of the serums, so it's always recommended to put that on first. I would recommend giving your skin a solid 10 minutes for this very pigmented oil to soak in before applying your serum. This serum gives you an instant glow, and I always get compliments whenever I'm wearing this. Full of antioxidants, as well as Vitamin A, which is a key vitamin in anti-aging products (and also the key component in Retinol, a powerful anti-aging skincare ingredient). Where to buy? Amazon
